Happy lunching!

Happy 2nd Easter Sunday

15 April 2012 – 07.00 AM

I took this picture while waiting for my friends to gather at the lobby. We went to the church together, to sing at the mass that morning. Our first choir assignment ^_^

What is this?

When you see it from this angle, I think you can guess it:

Here’s another angle:

Come on….let me hear your answer….What?????

YES!!!! It’s an Orange-Paprika

I came across this attractive looking food when I did my weekly groceries shopping. The instant I laid my eyes on them, I fell in love….kekekeke….Somehow, I love looking at brightly color fresh products.

This was the first time I bought them. It’s quite pricey ($2 for 2) but I really wanted to taste it, so I bought 2 of them.

I didn’t know how to cut it….so….I cut one horizontally…..and the other vertically…..like this:

Vertical cut is easier to do. I must note this for my next adventure with paprika.

So, how did I cook them?

I tasted paprika on Pizza and barbecued meat but since I don’t know how to make pizza and I didn’t have meat to barbecued, I decided to use them for making 2 dishes.

The first was an omelette – with cheese. The result was not beautiful because I use too many paprika cuts with 2 eggs. What I got was a broken and slightly burnt omelette. I still have to learn to make a perfect omelette T_T.

The second was spaghetti. Well, if you expect me to make the pasta and the tomato sauce from scratch, you’ll be disappointed. I used the instant pasta and a bottle of ready to use tomato sauce ^_^. I stir-fried white onion and the paprika and then I poured the tomato sauce and the green peas. Here’s the result:

Writing about this made my stomach growling. So it’s time to go for another adventure ^_^. See ya!

Bedroom Project #04

This time it’s chocolate-orange…..my favorite chocolate flavor and it looks good on design too ^_^

I got the idea of using glass sling door to separate the closet area from other design websites. I love the idea of showing off my closet, it will force me to keep it neat all the time….kekekeke…

This is how the closet looks without the doors. The dressing table by the window will have mirror on it, but since I haven’t found mirror material on Google Sketchup8, I used the transparent glass.

Yes, I’m obsessed with keeping things neat and clean because it will make the rooms bigger, besides I’m allergic to dust (according to Discovery Science channel, it’s not dust but house bugs’ poops….yikes…). That’s why all my racking system designs have doors on them.

There’s a grammatical error on the slide (T_T)’. It should be: ‘The table can be folded and hidden inside the book case”. By hiding the table, there will be sufficient place for placing a futon on the floor for the guests. Why don’t I use permanent bed for the guest? Because I don’t have permanent guest at my house ^_^.

Mirror….mirror….on the wall….am I the prettiest of all? kekekeke

The hollow part on the left side is for placing lamps. There are holes on the mirror part – on the left side – to let the light out. I don’t put the light on top of the mirror because, it won’t give the necessary light I need when I put my make up on. Side light is proven to be more effective. Just look at the dressing table at a hotel bedroom, or at beauty salon or at artist dressing room in a concert hall.

The racks hidden behind the mirror can be used to put the perfume bottles or other things. The height of each rack is 20cm. I think I can put Issey Miyake’s Flower perfume bottle there.

The top of the table can be lifted up and I will use compartments (I have two that I bought at IKEA) there to store my jewelry and make ups. I chose this design instead of the standard pull-put drawer because this one is more space-saving. There are only 40 cm from the table to the sliding door. It’s barely enough to put a stool to sit in front of the mirror. If I sit there, there won’t be enough space to open a pull out drawer.

Ok…that’s all for now….thank you for dropping by. If you like this design and want to use it for your home, feel free to use it ^_^.

Bedroom Project #03

I think I got better with the details each time….yeayyyyy……I even created a piece of art.

Actually, it’s supposed to be a big mirror but I couldn’t found mirror material on the app (maybe I have to search the 3D warehouse at Sketchup web). So, I use metal plat and drew something on it ^_^. At the back of the mirror, I want to put lamps, so, it will be illuminated…but….there isn’t a tool for creating illumination effects in the free version.

I didn’t put shades/curtain on the window. I don’t know how to draw it yet, to give a floating effect.

Tteokbokki ala moi

One of my favorite Korean food is Tteokbokki. There are many ways to cook it and this is the way I & my friends usually to cook it.

Ingredients:

Tteokbokki –> rice cake –> I bought this at a Korean Supermarket called Mu Gung Hwa

Gochujang –> it’s spicy. I don’t like chili but I can’t imagine eating Tteokbokki without this ^_^

Ramyeon –> not necessarily this brand. It’s just the one that I had at home.

Kimchi –> I happened to have it in my refrigerator, so I just used it.

Carrots, Eggs, chicken sausages, crab sticks and prawn meatballs are optional. I usually use fried fish cake but I couldn’t find it at the supermarket, so I just thrown in things that I have in my freezer.

How to cook it:

1. Cut the ingredients

2. Boil water

3. When the water is boiled, put the Tteokbokki into it and add some gochujang (1,5 spoon or more :p)

4. When the water + Tteokbokki is cooked, add other ingredients.

And this is my pot of Tteokbokki ^_^:

The Tteokbokki sunk to the bottom of the pot. kekekeke.

Total preparation & cooking time: 30 – 45 minutes.
